Well, well, well. For a few years now, I have been talking with teachers and principles in the Detroit Public School system and you may be surprised to hear of some of the things that they must deal with.

Let me say it this way.

• If your child has been suspended from school and you went to the school to challenge the teacher to a fight, cuss them out or otherwise be ignorant, you are too stupid to be responsible for a child.
• If you have ever been to school angry to demand the return of your child’s confiscated cell phone, you need to be kicked off of welfare.
• If your child had weed taken away at school and you demanded its return then you need to be jailed for sheer stupidity. ( But ignorance is not against the law)
• If you have ever called a school to cuss out a teacher for 15 minutes because your child was excused three minutes late, then you really need some counseling.
• If you have ever gone to a school to oversee or assist your child in a fight, then you should be banned from all school properties and your own children.
• If your child has ever threatened a teacher saying “I’ll have my momma come up here and fuck you up” then they OBVIOUSLY learned that stupidity from you and again, you should turn them over to a capable person before you completely ruin them.
• If you read these and are now ready to kick my butt, then you truly are helplessly stupid and again, probably not fit to parent.

These are just some of the stories that I’ve heard about from the school staff and it is shameful.

Personally, I hear more foul language outside the schools than I did in all of my years as a truck driver.

Since parents will not do the right thing on their own, it is time for the DPS, the Mayor, the county prosecutor and the sheriff to start the chain of accountability. It’s time to charge and jail violent and threatening parents. NO teacher should have to fight the students AND the parents.

Convert one of these closing schools to a “reform” school. Fill it with military style teachers that will absolutely command, demand and force structure. At the same time, the parents should be court ordered to attend parenting classes. Hell, if the child’s behavior warrants reform school and the parents are on state aid, then audit, assist, then penalize the unwilling.

I’ve said it before. Something needs to be done.
